#1: Food, Glorious Food!
Still have memories of your childhood E-Z Bake Oven or going to the malt shop? Your kids probably don't but you can create any childhood experience at home. Here are just a few ideas.
Create a Family Cookbook: You don't need an E-Z Bake to make this new tradition a reality. Each week or so, let the kids come up with an easy-to-make meal that includes their favorite ingredients. Have them create colorful pages for each dish and make color copies. By the end of the year, they'll have enough to give as holiday gifts.
Ice Cream Social: Parents supply the ice cream and toppings, kids get to build their ice sundaes! Consider fruit, chocolate, nuts, candy and broken cookies.
Cupcake Decorating Party: Parents supply the cupcakes and kids get to decorate them. Use squeezable icing tubes to draw on the top of your cupcake or get creative with fruit, nuts or candy toppings.
