Jim and Rachael Nelson have collected over a decades worth of clutter in their bursting family home. They won't even allow their children in the office for fear they will be hurt by something falling on top of them. Lucky for them the Clean Sweep Team has arrived just in time to set things straight!
Host Tava Smiley takes us on a tour of the couple's office/family room and the master bedroom. Two spaces overrun by items the couple can't wait to get rid of, and some very precious items they have almost lost. Tava and the team remove all the items from the rooms, but clutter isn't the only trouble they face. It's raining and Organizer Peter Walsh has set up some tents to help keep the people dry and keep the sorting moving at high speed. Peter goes through the couple's items, and quickly discovers the importance of family as evidenced by Rachael's Grandfather's bench, her Mother's Jewelry boxes, and even the little rocking chair Jim has from his childhood.
Inside, designer Molly Luetkemeyer is creating a kid friendly atmosphere in the office, so that the whole family will now be able to spend time in there together. Carpenter Eric Stromer is taking Molly's designs for a new headboard to the limit and helping bring some much needed living space back to the master bedroom in the form of two exciting new dressers.
Does the Clean Sweep Team have what it takes to make Molly's vision a reality, or will the project prove too ambitious? Will Peter be able to get Rachael to give up her much loved shoes, or will he end up all wet? And what happens when Jim and Rachael go one-on-one over Jim's beloved shirt? Check out this wet and wild episode of Clean Sweep to discover the answers.
