Daphane and Steven's home is buried in books, old furniture and Christmas decorations. Even their living room wall is covered in wrapping paper. Good thing the Clean Sweep team is here to help them remake their home as a space for the whole family.
Host Tava Smiley walks us through the couple's dining room and living room. The dining room is being used for everything but dining and the living room is inhospitable. The rooms are emptied, and the Clean Sweep team gets to work.
Organizer Peter Walsh goes through the couple's items, and finds that Daphane can't throw anything away, which is driving Steven crazy. Together, they hang on to useless items they should never have collected in the first place. Inside, designer Molly Luetkemeyer is working to incorporate some large furniture pieces Daphane and Steven purchased but never had room to use to create elegant, even exotic new rooms. Carpenter Eric Stromer is going the distance with Molly's designs bringing some practical shoe storage to the living room with an L-shaped table and bench.
Can the Clean Sweep team bring Molly's vision to life, or will the challenge be too much for them? Will Peter convince Daphane and Steven to purge their stacks of old books, or will he have to give them a lesson in letting go?
