Karen and John's basement rooms are dangerous and unusable. Their overstuffed guest room is virtually inaccessible — to get there you have to plow through their hazardous playroom. That's why they need the Clean Sweep team to help get their rooms up and running.
Host Tava Smiley walks us through the couple's basement obstacle course. They have sports equipment piled everywhere, an old bike, even a set of shower doors they don't need. The rooms are emptied, and the Clean Sweep team gets to work.
Organizer Peter Walsh goes through the couple's items and manages to sort through their mountain of sports equipment, separating the items by sport. Karen can't bring herself to get rid of old baby clothes. Inside, designer Molly Luetkemeyer is turning their chaotic rooms into fun, comfortable spaces. Carpenter Eric Stromer builds toy storage bins and installs them in the playroom under a set of basketball hoops so the kids can make cleaning up a game.
Can the Clean Sweep team bring Molly's designs to life before time runs out? Will Peter get Karen and John to clear out their mountain of clutter so they can take back their house? Watch this sporty episode of Clean Sweep to find out.
