Sewing the Seeds of Organization

type size: [A] [A] [A]

David and Stephanye have a home that is awash in mystery. No one seems to know how Stephanye's sewing room got to be such a mess, and their basement is so packed, they have started calling it the "Black Hole." Things seem to go into the basement, and are then never heard from again. Good thing the Clean Sweep team is here to solve the mystery and get David and Stephanye back on track.

Host Tava Smiley takes us on a tour of the sewing room and basement and soon finds out why they call it the "Black Hole" when she trips coming into the basement. The rooms are emptied, and the Clean Sweep team gets to work.

Organizer Peter Walsh meets our couple outside and we find out that while Stephanye's fabric dominates the space, it is all of the family mementoes that are taking up most of the room. Inside, designer James Saavedra has created a new sewing room for Stephanie and found a unique way to display her fabrics so she can see the projects she is working on. Carpenter Eric Stromer is making a new screen cover for the basement water heater, and even gets to cut up their old work bench to make it fit in the rooms new redesign.

What is going to happen to David's favorite art piece that has been buried by clutter for 20 years? What plans does James have to make Stephanye's sewing more efficient? And what is Eric doing with that chainsaw? Tune into to this enigma of an episode, and see for yourself.
