Mother and daughter, Lendell and Eboni are trying to take back their home. Their living room is serving way too many functions and stopped being comfortable a long time ago. And the master bedroom is anything but the peaceful sanctuary Lendell needs. Now, Clean Sweep is here to help.
Host Tava Smiley walks us through Lendell's bedroom. It's overrun with books, magazines and cases of soft drinks that she buys in bulk. And the living room is a disaster! The rooms are emptied, and the Clean Sweep team gets to work.
Organizer Peter Walsh goes through the ladies' items, and soon discovers that Lendell has trouble letting go of things she might need in the future (as she says, "Just in case ..."). Inside, designer Angelo Surmelis marvels at the home's 19th-century architectural details and incorporates them into his clean, contemporary design. Carpenter Eric Stromer surprises even himself by constructing, perhaps, the world's largest entertainment center for the living room.
Can the Clean Sweep team help this family take back their house? Will Peter convince Lendell to let go of her stuff and free up her space? And will Eric be able to get the finished entertainment center through the living room entrance? Find out on this emotional episode of Clean Sweep.
