Maurine Sindel and John Rapozo met in John's "Jazzercise" class and became fast friends — and eventually roommates. The problem is that John's bedroom is so cluttered there's barely room to walk, much less Jazzercise. And their shared office is overflowing with clothes, shoes, and the music John uses to teach his class.
Now,
Clean Sweep is here to slim down their spaces. Host Tava Smiley walks us through John's room, where she finds a zoo of stuffed animals and a mountain of shoes. Next, in the office/studio, John defends every piece of clutter that organizer Peter Walsh digs up as "vintage". The rooms are emptied, and the
Clean Sweep team gets to work. Peter sets about streamlining John's business by helping him let go of outdated music.
Inside, designer Kelli Ellis transfers John's homeland of Hawaii to the walls of his new bedroom. Meanwhile, carpenter Eric Stromer tests his skills building a massive two-person desk for the office.
Can the
Clean Sweep team get these oversized rooms down to fighting weight? How will Peter react when he discovers John is holding out on him? Find out on this jazzer-jumping episode of
Clean Sweep.
