• Use exercise equipment or it's just a giant dust collector. You will feel better after a workout, relieve some stress and have more energy. If you don't use it in six months, get rid of it.
• Items like tapes or head shots you need for work need to be organized. If you don't use them, they are clutter. Get rid of the extra and keep only what you really need.
• Teaching kids where things go, and making them put things in their "home," is important. If they learn it early, they will have the skill of organization for the rest of their lives.
• Have a small room with a TV or VCR? Think about "hanging" it from the ceiling. It will keep it off the floor and make it easier to see from all points in the room.
• Try putting your TV in the bedroom on a rolling cart. You can then wheel it out when you want to watch something, and tuck it into a corner when you are done. It frees up extra floor space and helps keep the room looking fresh.
