• An organized home workshop will serve two important functions: It will help you finish those projects you're avoiding, and it will keep them from overflowing into other rooms of your house.
• House paint doesn't last more than a year or so in storage. Instead of holding on to bulky paint cans, keep a file of sample paint chips for the colors you used. Then, when you need to touch up, you can simply look up the color name and manufacturer.
• It's important to try on those old clothes in the back of your closet to see if they still fit. If it doesn't make you look great or feel great, get rid of it.
• Kitchens can quickly fill up with items you don't use. Try purging appliances and utensils that never see the light of day.
• Just because someone gives you a gift, doesn't mean you have to keep it. If you don't love it and it doesn't match your décor, feel free to pass it on.
