• If you use a lot of fabric for projects, try hanging them from towel bars in the room. It will save space, let you see what you have, and be an ever-changing art piece for people to admire.

• A basement doesn't have to be a dark and dingy hole. With a fresh coat of bright paint and some proper lighting, it can serve as an additional fun and functional room for the whole family.

• Having a work station that folds into the wall is a great way to open up space when it's not being used. When you're done, simply fold it up and enjoy your wide open space.

• An underused closet is a great spot for a desk. It helps clear up the center of the room, and can transform an under-utilized space into a functional area.

• If you have a massive HVAC unit and want to cover it, make sure to leave a way for you to access it if needed.

• When you inherit an item but don't have a use for it, see if someone else in the family does. Let them enjoy the piece you don't want, and help keep the memory of the passed loved one alive.
