• Kids need a space to call their own. Even if it can't be a whole room, having a dresser or area they are responsible for keeping organized can be an important lesson in responsibility.
• Videotapes are a great way to preserve family memories, but if they aren't labeled properly, you'll never find what you're looking for. Label each tape with what is on it, or risk losing it forever.
• If you have clothes you don't wear, get rid of them. Donating them to a local shelter or charity can be a great tax write-off as well.
• Fitted windows can really open up a room, but if they don't fit your window area, they can be a major headache. Make sure they fit your space before buying them, and you'll save a lot of time and headache in the future.
• Kids learn by what they see. If your area is a mess, how can you expect them to be neat and tidy? Doing something about getting organized will go a long way to showing your kids how it's done.
