From: DJ Clutter in Da House

• Trophies are great reminders of past accomplishments, but letting them sit on a shelf gathering dust is a disservice to what they represent. If you're really proud of them, keep them clean and well displayed.

• A good closet system can keep your things in good shape and easily accessible. But the best system in the world won't help if you simply have too much stuff.  Rule No. 1: Purge before you organize!

• Old crutches are nothing more than clutter. Instead of letting them sit around your house, donate them to a charitable organization that will pass them on to someone in need.

• In order to be creative, your space needs to be clutter-free. Eliminate that distracting mess, and give the energy room to flow.

• When painting a room, don't be afraid to choose a bold color that reflects your passions and interests. Think of your bedroom as an expression of your true self and decorate it accordingly.
