• Suffering from "TMS": Too Much Stuff? A simple cure is to go through your closets and drawers and get rid of anything you don't wear or that doesn't fit. It will help free up some valuable space.
• If you have a business that requires a lot of supplies, don't fall into the trap of overbuying. Purchase a reasonable amount that you can expect to sell in a limited amount of time. If it just ends up sitting on a shelf or covering your floor, it's like throwing away money.
• Getting things organized can sometimes be "Step 2" to uncluttering your life. Make sure you don't skip the first step — get rid of the stuff you have but don't really need. It will make organizing a much simpler task.
• If you have a former career or sport you no longer participate in, find a way to honor it without overloading your space. A poster from a special event, or a picture of you in your uniform, makes a great room decoration and will serve as a reminder for years to come.
• A collection is great when it is preserved in sealed display containers. Keep the containers clear of dust, or they will become dingy and possibly tarnish the value or appeal of your items.
