Meet the Mavens

Patrick Brown
Patrick Brown loves to help people create the homes they love to live in. A handyman in every sense, he shows viewers common sense solutions to some common home problems. His favorite job, however, is showing people that they're capable of doing more in their homes than they may think they can. Patrick Brown graduated from East Carolina University with a bachelor of arts in sociology, where he also studied percussion and was a trained drummer. Patrick started working in sales and corporate branding for a general contractor in Raleigh, North Carolina before launching his own general contracting company. Patrick first brought his innovative problem solving skills to television as the general contractor on the TLC show Town Haul. As a general contractor, he has helped families with small fix-it jobs as well as completed major renovations. He now shares his home expertise on Home Made Simple.

Wanda Colón
Wanda Colón is a designer known for bringing boundless energy and style to her projects. Her design principles focus on the individual, looking for opportunities to incorporate local art and found pieces into projects as a way to reveal the unique style of her clients. She began her design career in Los Angeles when she landed a job with the award winning design firm Interior Motives. Her passion for design led to the launch of her own company, The Piper Decorative Artisans, a business that continues to thrive with work commissioned by celebrity clients like Kelsey Grammar, Paul Stanley, Cher and Joanna Carson. Wanda can currently be seen as the Design Host on TLC's Home Made Simple.

Deborah Fewell
Growing up in Washington D.C., being influenced by her father’s herb gardening while storytelling, and her mother’s kitchen narratives, Deborah has for a lifetime honed her craft toward the ultimate goal of becoming one of “America’s Cooking Sweetheart.” Trained in the theater, Deborah earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from Howard University. To sharpen her culinary technique, Deborah received an associate degree from the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu School (Pasadena Campus). She was later chosen for the highly competitive internship program at the Food Network in New York; Deborah went on to become personal chef to NBA great Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway of the New York Knicks, and has been the personal chef to A-list celebrities Will and Jada Smith for the last four years. As fate (and faith) would have it, Deborah returned to the Food Network, but this time as one of the eight competitors (chosen out of a pool of 10,000) for the televised prime time program The Next Food Network Star (Season 1). In this highly touted chefs competition, Deborah “fewelled” herself to becoming first runner-up. She was later featured as a host for the one-hour special Surf and Turf on the Food Network.
