Our resident Australian and self-described "dirty dingo," James Lunday brings considerable carpentry expertise to on-air experience to In a Fix. Until recently, James was the "Ty" guy on Changing Rooms, the Australian version of Trading Spaces. James got his start studying graphic design at the Sydney Institute of Technology for three years. Soon after, he decided to follow in his grandfather and great-grandfather's footsteps and began a four-year apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery. Now 31, he has spent the past 10 years working as a qualified carpenter for his own business, Lunday Construction, doing everything from small renovations and repairs through to building a new house from the ground up. When he's not working, he likes to travel, surf or ride around on his Softail Harley-Davidson.
