Gretchen Monahan, casually known as Gretta, is one of Boston's most dynamic beauty and fashion entrepreneurs. Gretchen grew up in Boston with an inherent love of fashion and a sharp eye for style and beauty. She originally set her sights on a career in fashion at New York's FIT, but left midway to pursue her passion for beauty. Returning home, she trained as a master colorist with Goldwell North America, where she was quickly recognized for her forward-thinking approach to style and her firm belief that hairstyle could complement face shape as well as a person's lifestyle and image. Her success led Gretchen to a slew of chic Newbury Street salons, where she developed training and education programs for stylists in the Boston area. Gretchen is the founder of the salon/spa boutique Grettacole; the fashion boutique Gretta Luxe; and the new beauty/fashion hot spot G-Spa.
