Richmond Ring Dance

Meredith & Charissa

University of Richmond's formal "Ring Dance" is a rite of passage for junior class women. But roommates Meredith and Charissa are stuck in contrasting styles unfit for this Southern gala. Meredith gravitates toward outfits that show too much skin and that her mother describes as "trampy." Almost everyday she wears something that reveals a part of the body, something that shows her midsection, is low cut, tight or short. All four if possible!

Charissa is more likely to be found in one of her countless sweatshirts and at least one purple article of clothing! These wannabe Southern belles are in desperate need of formal white dresses — and a little refinement — for the moment their fathers escort them down a huge staircase to present them to family and friends at this much-awaited college event!
