About the episode:
Lloyd Banks formed the hip-hop group G-Unit with artists 50 Cent and Tony Yayo. He's releasing his second solo album, Rotten Apple, and to mark the occasion he sought out Chris Garver for a tremendous back piece. The tattoo is an intricate city scene that represents the best and worst of New York. In the foreground Garver has created an ultra-sexy Statue of Liberty, but instead of carrying a torch, she holds a gun. Also in the episode, Lloyd describes how his early hardships contribute to his music today. He recalls the day he was shot ("It's not like the movies.") and names his mother as one of the biggest influences in his career. Garver rises to the challenge and gives Lloyd the back piece he always imagined.
Also on this episode:
Kat gives Donovan a portrait of his grandparents while listening to some unusual stories. Plus, she persuades Garver to quit smoking by making a $5,000 bet. Nunez gives Jacqueline angel wings to ensure that her father is in heaven despite his not-so-pristine lifestyle. Darren blends up an inspirational beach scene for STOMP! rhythm dancer, Troy. Courtney gets the same tattoo as her late husband to honor their everlasting bond. Ami helps Joyce make a statement about feminine beauty when he gives her a vibrant butterfly - his first tattoo on someone’s head! Even though Lee was obsessive in his cleaning and organizing, Ami gives this shop manager the benefit of being “not fired.”
