Sharon and Keith are in for a shock when the home that they so carefully decorated in muted shades of beige is redecorated in blood red, gothic purple and black — complete with leopard and zebra patterns on the walls. Margaret and Charlie are a retired couple who decorate with an elderly sense of style. New owners Sharon and Keith want to throw out the old and bring in the new. Can the old owners handle seeing the new changes?
Family A: Kelly & Chris
Kelly and Chris have a strong sense of style which has been influenced by their love of rock music. They like to decorate with gothic black furniture and fittings. The family is currently sharing a one-bedroom apartment with their baby named Nirvana. The shared room is a mixture of baby pink butterflies and skulls and portraits of Kurt Cobain. They are moving for more space and can't stand the bland taste of the home they are buying. They plan on having a leopard theme in the living room (with red walls), a zebra theme in the dining room and a hot pink kitchen!
Family B: Sharon & Keith
Sharon and Keith are also moving for more space and they can't stand the style of the house they are buying. Sharon hates the color blue and plans to irradicate every inch it from the home. This project entails ripping up the vast blue carpet and remodeling the blue bathroom. As the renovations get under way, a sudden need for a new roof puts a big hole in their finances and a lot of pressure on their relationship.
Family C: Margaret & Charlie
Margaret and Charlie are a sweet retired couple who are moving from their family home of the last 15 years. They are downsizing to a newly built condo that requires less maintenance. Margaret's favorite color is blue and she is very attached to her home and its current blue décor. How will she feel when the new owners banish the blue?
