Divorcee Ann may get a shock when she sees her beloved floral wallpaper shredded by new owners Joe and Laura. Joe and Laura's old place featured contemporary stainless-steel furniture — but new owners Priscilla and Mike can't wait to get rid of this style, which they describe as "'80s kitsch." Can the old owners handle seeing the drastic new changes?
Family A: Priscilla and Mike
Priscilla and Mike have been married for four years. He's an IT consultant, and she looks after their 2-year-old daughter. Mike's taste in décor is reflected in their current home — beige, brown, tan — but Priscilla wants to change all that in the new house. She favors florals and plaids, which Mike can't stand. The one thing the couple can agree on is their desire to give their new home a rustic, cozy feel. Priscilla and Mike's projects include installing their $30,000 dream kitchen.
Family B: Laura and Joe
Laura and Joe are a young couple who were told they could never have kids. They now have two daughters, and a third is on the way. Joe works as a railroad conductor, and Laura is a full-time mother. They favor a contemporary modern look in their new home and can't stand the floral and striped wallpaper throughout the house. They have big plans to gut and expand the bathroom with a granite-tiled Jacuzzi. Out with the old and in with the new!
Family C: Ann
Ann is a day-care provider who has put her heart and soul into decorating her home in a traditional French country style. But after her recent divorce, Ann is downsizing to a condo in Florida to live near her brother. She believes the new owners would never get rid of her beloved floral wallpaper. After all, doesn't everyone love flowers?
