Heather went from nothing to millionaire in just seven years. Her new house, in the center of historic Newport, was a weekend home for the three brothers — Carl, Stan and Mark — who used to own it. Heather thinks the place is cheaply decorated; she can't wait to give it a more classy feel so that her boyfriend of 16 years will finally move in and propose. The three brothers bought Theresa's house, but they find the existing taste "bland, bland, bland" and can't wait to spruce it up into the ultimate place to entertain Newport high society. Will there be fireworks when the old owners come back and see the changes?
Heather and Chris
Heather is a self-made millionaire who has gone from barmaid to property tycoon in just seven years. She prides herself in letting nothing go to waste; she and her boyfriend, Chris, do all the work on their properties themselves. Heather and Chris have been together for 16 years but live apart. Heather hopes that by decorating their bedroom according to his tastes, she can persuade him to move in and propose.
Carl, Stan and Mark
Carl, Stan and Mark are brothers with a lust for life. They can't stand drab decor and want to completely redo the all-white house they're buying in the style of "Newport meets Miami". Stan and Mark are both married with young kids. They want to make the house their second home — the ideal place for entertaining their many friends and their children.
Theresa and Dean
Theresa completely remodeled her home when she moved in three years ago and is very proud of the results. The home had not been touched for 50 years and required extensive modernization. She installed a new kitchen and fireplace and tastefully redecorated throughout the house in the traditional style of old Newport homes. Theresa was widowed a few years ago, but has just found love again with Dean. They're moving in together and can't wait to get married. What will they make of the changes when they come back?
