Rice Paper Screen Project

Prep Work Required

Make sure to have a large, open space with a drop cloth and room to maneuver and to be able to use staple gun and glue without risk of damaging floors or carpets. It is also important to have all materials needed nearby, ready for use before glue dries.

Materials Needed

Screen frame
Rice paper
White Elmer’s glue
Drop cloth
Scissors or box cutter
Staple gun
Hammer
Extra fine grit sandpaper
Spray bottle for water
Hair dryer
Basic hand tools
Two floor lights
Dimming extension cord

Step 1: On a flat surface, lay the screen frame on the drop cloth. Run a small line of glue along all of the edges of the frame and using your finger rub it around so it covers the entire surface.
