Polka Dot Wall Stencil

Prep Work Required:

Wall should be painted with base coat color and completely dry before beginning.

Materials:

Frosted acetate/Mylar of .5 thickness or greater
Wax pencils
Compass
Thumbtacks
String
Matt knife
Matt-cutting board
Paint rollers, large and small sizes
Paint trays
Spray adhesive (general purpose)
Easy release painter’s tape
Hairdryer or portable fan
Two or more colors of paint

Process:

Step 1: Draw circles on acetate with wax pencil. For smaller circles, use a compass. For larger circles, mark the center of the circle with a thumbtack. Then tie a string to the tack and tie a wax pencil tied to the other end of the string to keep the circle even in diameter. (Mistakes can be gently rubbed off the acetate with a dry cloth or paper towel.)
