Overhaulin
Episode Guide

Dude, Where's My Skylark?
small text
large text

Rick loves his 1967 Buick Skylark. It was given to him by his older brother, Robert, an Iraq war veteran, who is our key Overhaulin' insider. Robert works it so we can grab the car. He then interrogates Rick, insinuating that Rick must've made an enemy or done something wrong, setting up the notion that the Buick was taken as something relating to personal retaliation or vindictiveness. Of course, our A-Team gets right to work on the car.

Chip Foose, Jeff Mohrfeld, Matthew Harris, George Lopez and Steve Deman round out the build team, making the Skylark into a cool and stylish low-rider. As the build goes on during the week, Rick receives a call from Chris as a car thief, indicating that the car was indeed taken as "payment" for a debt; a debt that Rick knows does not exist.

By the time the Buick is completely stunning and perfect, Rick is reunited with his ride, discovering that his brother has set him up and that Chris of Overhaulin' was the thug who "stole" the Skylark.
