When designer Jon Laymon, 30, first moved to Florida ten years ago, he lived in the back of his Jeep for two weeks. Now an accomplished art director, he earned a spot on the Trading Spaces team as America's choice after competing with three other designers in Trading Spaces: Pick the Next Designer.

Artistic and full of energy, Jon enjoys painting and sculpting. Notably, Jon sculpted all the animal characters and constructed the animatronics for all the Rainforest Cafe restaurants around the world. He has also constructed science-fiction characters for a movie theater in N*SYNC member Joey Fatone’s house and sculpted other pieces all around the world from Puerto Rico to London.

Before competing in Trading Spaces: Pick the Next Designer, Jon and his wife Stacey competed (and won!) against seven other Orlando couples to have their mortgage paid off in Trading Spaces: Home Free.
