Lauren Makk

Lauren Makk was born and raised in Oklahoma City. As a child, Lauren was heavily influenced by her mother, a builder and developer, and her stepfather, who is a contractor.

She's been surrounded and involved in the construction and building industry for years. Early in life, she started re-decorating her room, and as a teenager she became a "tagger" (a graffiti artist). At the age of 18, she moved west to California to study interior design.

Heavily influenced by the street scene, Lauren describes her design sensibility as "hip hop glam". She currently manages her own design business, which specializes in advising and managing projects for the budget conscious homeowner.
