1. ELIGIBILITY: Open only to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Discovery Communications, Inc. ("Sponsor"), its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, dealers, advertising and promotion agencies and members of the immediate families and persons living in the same household of such employees are not eligible. Void where prohibited.

2. TERM: The TLC Trading Spaces Summer Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins at 5:01 PM Eastern Time ("ET") on July 10, 2002 and ends at 9:01 PM ET on August 25, 2002 ("Sweepstakes Term").

3. HOW TO ENTER: To enter, watch "Trading Spaces" on TLC on Wednesday afternoons at 4 PM Eastern Time ("ET") and Saturday nights at 8 PM Eastern Time ("ET") during the Sweepstakes Term (each a "Program"). After the Program, go to www.discovery.com and click on the TLC logo and then on the "TLC Home" link. Once at the TLC home page, click on the "Trading Spaces" fansite button to access the Sweepstakes page.

After each Program airs, there will be one (1) question related to the Program posted on the "Trading Spaces" website. Each Program question will remain on the TLC Sweepstakes page for twenty-four (24) hours. Answer the question, and submit the required entry information. If you answer the question correctly, you will receive one (1) entry. You will receive only one (1) entry for each Program question answered correctly; answering correctly any Program question multiple times will not provide multiple entries. During the Sweepstakes Term, there will be fourteen (14) questions posted: two (2) per week from July 10, 2002 until August 25, 2002. Maximum allowable Sweepstakes entries: fourteen (14).

4. PRIZES: Sponsor will select one (1) potential winner at random for each Program period from among all eligible entries received during that Program period. Each winner will receive one (1) Trading Spaces 'smock' [shirt]. Approximate Retail Value of each prize: $45. Total number of prizes: fourteen (14). Total Prize Value: $630.

Odds of winning will be determined by the number of eligible entries received, which is estimated at 25,000, during the Sweepstakes Term.

5. GENERAL: Taxes on prizes and all expenses related to acceptance and use of prizes and not specified are the sole responsibility of winners. By participating, entrants agree [a] to these rules and decisions of Sponsor and judges which shall be final in all respects relating to this Sweepstakes; [b] to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, participating cable affiliates, their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, dealers, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective directors, officers and employees from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from their participation in the sweepstakes or their acceptance, use or misuse of prize including, without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage. Potential Winners will be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release and (where legal) a publicity release, which must be returned within fourteen (14) days of attempted notification or an alternate winner may be selected. If winner is not of the age of majority in state of residence, prize will be awarded in the name of parent or legal guardian. Winners agree to use of name and/or photograph for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in all media, including but not limited to on air and within Sponsor's website, www.discovery.com, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) and agree to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so. Sponsor, participating cable affiliates, their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, dealers, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective directors, officers and employees are not responsible for and shall not be liable for [a] any telecast malfunctions, human error, satellite transmission failures, or delayed telecasts or preemption of or the failure of a cable affiliate to televise Discovery Channel®, TLC or any affiliated network in all or any parts of the United States; [b] electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind, including without limitation, server malfunction or by any human error which may occur in the processing of entries; [c] failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions; [d] lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible or postage-due entries or mail; or [e] any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Sponsor that may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the sweepstakes or any portion thereof should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the promotion. Entry information becomes property of Sponsor. No prize transfer or cash redemption. No prize substitution except by Sponsor due to unavailability, as solely determined by Sponsor, in which case a prize of comparable or greater value will be awarded. All federal, state and local regulations apply. LIMIT: one (1) prize per household. In addition, please note that by entering this Sweepstakes, you are granting us permission to share your information with our co-sponsors, promotional partners or other third parties. You further grant us, our promotional partners and other third parties with which we choose to share your information, permission to contact you about our upcoming shows, promotions or for other reasons.
