Colorado: Cherry Street

Because a large mantle dominates this living room, designer Laurie Smith plans to paint horizontal stripes to mimic and accentuate the mantle as a centerpiece. Camel, gray and white stripes on the walls are complemented by the blue couches already in the room. Camel and gray throw pillows on the couch tie into the color of the existing carpet. Burnt orange flowers on the mantle complement the single splash of orange on one of Laurie's throw pillows.
