Manhattan Beach: 20th Street

This game/family room did not have much personality when designer Gen Gorder got a hold of it. The walls were painted white and the floor was covered with brown carpet. The room was a catchall for musical instruments and a large pool table. Gen began her transformation of this room by painting the walls a forest green. She then painted a mural inside the recessed wall. Shelves and a bar were installed. Bamboo strips were nailed to the room to complete the look. Gen removed the carpet and painted the hardwood brown to coordinate with the walls. To complete this family room transformation, Gen purchased funky chairs, modern lighting and throw pillows.
