South Carolina: Sherborne Drive

This office/television room was in dire need of help when designer Doug Wilson arrived. The walls were white and red with a wallpaper border along the chair rail. The carpet was beige and the walls had little artwork or other accents. Doug began designing this "ark-inspired" room by painting the walls a dark gray. Rectangle-shaped plywood was upholstered in varying colors of purple and hung on the walls. The floor was covered with a black area rug. Doug suspended posterboard from the ceiling using wires. To complete the room, carpenter Carter Oosterhouse created a sectional and small stools that could be moved from one area to another. Pillows in various shades of purple gave the sectional and room a complete look.
