Plano: Shady Valley Road

Using sage-green paint and adding barn-like slats to the ceiling, Doug Wilson creates a pastoral children's playroom in Plano. Toys are organized and find homes in new end-table bookshelves and storage boxes built by carpenter Ty Pennington. The storage boxes, whose lids are covered in foam and fabric, also serve as additional seating in the room. Drapes, an area rug and throw pillows help bring warmth and comfort to a previously cold and empty room.
