Las Vegas: Smokemont Court

Homeowner Jessie has one request for her neighbors — don't let the designer put anything brown in the living room. While she doesn't ignore the homeowner's request, designer Laurie Smith is sure her vision of earth tones for the room will please Jessie and her husband, Rodney. Laurie's plans include an 8'x8' wall unit to serve as a focal point for the design. Ever aware of the budget, she has inexpensive lampshades painted "bone" to match the color on the walls, while selecting very expensive silk fabric for accent pillows.

Why did Laurie find this reveal memorable? "I left before the reveal because my son was teething and I wanted to get him back to the hotel. When I got to the hotel, my phone just exploded with a flurry of calls. Apparently Jessie really hated her room."
