Seattle: Dakota Street

The goal of this Laurie Smith design is to create a more intimate master bedroom for two hard-working parents. A headboard is built and upholstered for the bed and is designed around the sconce reading lamps. Cream-colored walls are accented with chocolate brown found in fabrics and furniture throughout the room.

Why did Laurie find this reveal memorable? "During this reveal, Ty and I both hid in the bathroom and he had to restrain me from running into the room and confronting the homeowner, who hated her room. Then, seconds later, the tables were turned when she started criticizing the carpentry and I had to hold back Ty!"
