Odd Material: Fabric on walls

Designer Edward Walker has big plans for this master bedroom, but everyone on the Trading Spaces crew believes his design eerily resembles the inside of a coffin. Never one to be dissuaded, Edward begins covering the upper portion of the walls in sheer white fabric -- making pleats. For the lower half of the walls, Edward enlists the help of carpentry world and installs wainscoting in coordinating shades of gray and silver. Edward paints the homeowner's existing bed steely gray and then threads strips of wood that have been painted black through the slots for a braided look. To complete the room, new carpet and light fixtures are installed.
