Dr. Wade Smith originally went to school to be a hockey coach, but after taking an anatomy class he made a drastic career change. Now a Chief Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon, Dr. Smith has also leared how to be a compassionate person. "It comes easily to see all the patients as people who are usually undergoing the worst time of their lives. To sit and share that with them is unique, it's a privilege, it's painful … but sometimes it can be happy."
