Dr. Matt Stansfield is in his third year in one of the most grueling residency programs in the country. He's come a long way from when he slept through most of his classes and "flunked everything." Today there is nothing more challenging for him than the human brain. Dr. Stanfield must tell the parents of a 16-year-old football player that he's brain dead. But because he checked the organ donor box just months before his death, the boy provides life to four patients by donating his heart, liver, pancreas and kidneys.
