Looking for some excitement, an 18-year-old moved from his small California town to San Diego. He unfortunately found more than he bargained for after getting caught in a gang fight. Kicked repeatedly in the head, he was comatose and barely breathing by the time he arrived at Scripps Mercy. Though the doctors did all they could, waking up from the coma was solely up to the patient.
