When residents of the nation's eighth largest city, San Antonio, find themselves in serious trouble, they have only one place to turn: University Hospital. When a family of five is injured in a minivan rollover and three young adults are hurt in a two-car collision with serious consequences, the team races to treat the victims. The risks involved for these workers become all the more evident when one of the team's own accidentally sticks herself with a used needle and faces her moment of crisis.
