The staff of San Francisco General Hospital reflects the broad diversity of the city — the doctors and nurses here hail from such diverse areas as China, Greece and Tasmania. S.F. General is also a teaching hospital; thus the attending physicians not only take care of patients — such as a man stabbed at a soup kitchen, a woman and her three young sons hurt in an automobile accident, and a priest hit by a car — but teach students and residents as well.
