Mannequin #1 (Performance Look):
Rebecca Taylor, Black chiffon shirt w/metallic print and angel wings;
H&M, Blue skinny jeans;
Seychelles, Red low pumps (available at Olive & Bette's);
R.J. Graziano, Long gunmetal rope necklaces
Rules:
- Chiffon blouse with a bit of metallic can replace the "nouveau hippie" look of baby tees and braided jeans. A deep plunging neck line is great on women with smaller chests.
- Straight leg, mid-rise jeans will help to lengthen your legs and give you more curves in your hips. Avoid wide leg jeans that are too long. They will make you look shorter than you are.
- A colored shoe will dress up the lower half when wearing jeans for a gig.
Mannequin #2 (Meeting with Agents):
How & Wen, Vanilla pintriped suit w/back corseting;
Club Monaco, Green cotton button-down shirt w/cream pattern;
Aldo, Green strappy high-heel sandals;
Banana Republic, Green lizard clutch;
Aldo, Sunglasses
Rules:
- Find a suit with a good amount of seaming and perhaps corseting that is hip and sophisticated. Find a unique color as well and look for a jacket that pulls in at the waist to give you more curve definition.
- A punch of color works to bring up the funk by putting a green blouse with a subtle print underneath the jacket. You can mix a print with a pinstriped suit as long as neither one is overwhelming.
- Elongate your leg with a fun, vibrant high heel .
Mannequin #3 (Awards Evening):
Saks 5th Ave. and Yigal Azrouel Boutique, Crimson Slip dress w/silk charmeuse sculpting inserts;
Alfani, Silver strappy high heels;
R.J. Graziano, Clear crystal drop necklace
Rules:
- Find a fitted dress that shows off your body and curves.
- The panels help to enhance your curves.
- Wear high heels to lengthen legs.
- Use a large and unique necklace to accessorize an already fabulous dress .
