Niya's Rules

After reviewing Niya's secretly recorded video and current wardrobe, fashion experts Stacy and Clinton set up these general rules for Niya to follow:

• Show less skin.

• Wear brighter colors (look great with dark skin!).

• Go for longer jeans and pants with higher waists to add more leg length.

• Skirts that hit just above the knee will show off legs but are more sophisticated and appropriate for work.

• Shorter, single-button, fitted jackets allow for some cleavage, and a lace tank top worn underneath adds suttle sex appeal.

• Substitute a small kitten heel for the stiletto at work.

• Keep jewelry and accessories simple.

Mannequin #1: Casual Day Wear

• Good for running around town with the kids.
• This is a feminine look, young and fresh. Niya is the sexy component of the outfit.
• More covered up.
• Bright colors because it's great with dark skin.

Coral tank top (Macy's) — $9
• Adds a touch of color. It's playful and sexy but discreet.

Wine-colored velvet jacket w/ruching (Express) — $98
• A zip-up is an alternative to the jean jacket.
• The short length of the jacket is stylish.

Jeans w/side ruching (www.sharagano.com) — $160
• Longer jeans with a higher hip instead of capris will give her leg more length.

Belt w/rhinestone circles (www.benamun.com) — $150
• Style is in the detail, and the "bling-bling" chain adds more style.

Brown leather bag (www.donaldjpliner.com) — $545

Puma Sneakers (Puma) — $90
• Gave her a sneaker instead of a heal because Niya runs after the kids a lot. Can do a flat shoe or a sandal as well.

Mannequin #2: Professional Look

Black skirt suit (Max Studio) from Bloomingdale's — $326
• Short skirt allows Niya to show her legs, but at the same time, it's sophisticated and appropriate for work.
• Single-button jacket allows for cleavage.
• Can wear the skirt by itself, or she can mix and match it.
• The jacket is fitted, and Niya likes fitted articles.

Pink lace camisole (Banana Republic) — $68
• Sex appeal.

Silver pendant (Banana Republic) — $28
• Keep jewelry simple at office, especially since she works in insurance.

Black faux crocodile clutch (Banana Republic) — $42
• Simple, classic black bag.

Black suede flats w/leather bowties (Via Spiga) — $145
• A small kitten heel is more appropriate than a stiletto for the workplace.

Mannequin #3: Night Out With Friends Look

• Different shapes, yet they are still simple and flatter her body.

Teal green tank top (Warehouse) — $42
• A plunging neckline, because she doesn't have a large chest.
• Mini-skirt is great for people with great legs.
• She can do sleeveless because she has great arms.
• It's sexy and mature.

Leather pencil skirt (Plein Sud) — $1,184
• Instead of a tight, high-waisted skirt, it's down to her hips and straight to the knee.
• Worn to replace her logo skirt that hurt her to get into.
• The skirt should go to the top of her knee, slightly shorter than the skirt on the mannequin.

Animal print "Reina" stole (Adrienne Landau) from Neiman Marcus — $495
• Added for glamour.
• Gives Niya the ability to go bold.
• One bold accessory allows one's eye to focus.

Silver Cuffs (Robert Lee Morris) — $203

Black high-heel pumps (Helmut Lang) from Jeffrey NY (212.206.1272) — $365
• Super high-heel gives her a nice long leg.
