Annapolis: Canopy Retreat

Designer Chayse Dacoda comes up with a backyard transformation that takes this deck from plain Jane to decked out, and the homeowner's neglected yard from empty to elegant, in a design called "Canopy Retreat." Carpenters Jason Cameron and Ali Barone build storage benches that match the pattern of the existing deck; they also make an awning and a canopy for the new outdoor dining area. Luscious trees and flowers are planted throughout the yard and in pots on the deck. A beautiful table setting and Adirondack chairs serve as the finishing touches for this outdoor retreat.
