Stephen Saint-Onge was named "One of the top fifteen designers under 40 in America" by House Beautiful magazine. He has become known as "The Home and Style Designer for The Everyday Family" with his approachable, family-friendly, cost-effective and creative style. Seen on While You Were Out and as a guest on other programs such as The View, Oprah and on CNN, Stephen remains focused on creating comfortable and inviting spaces for homeowners on the show and for his private clients. Stephen truly believes that any room has potential and strives to give advice to homeowners that he feels, truly deserve to have their home be the best it can be no matter who they are or where they are.

Stephen, a renaissance man in many respects, began his creative career in film and television production design. Having migrated from designing for fictitious characters to designing homes for real life people, he found his work featured in numerous magazines, newspapers and television programs across the U.S. and Canada.

Aside from his creative works, Stephen dedicates his time to his passion for Saving The Arts in our nation's schools. Knowing that many creative arts programs are being cut from schools everyday, Stephen has taken up the cause of bringing awareness to the valuable gift these programs give our children and keeping the focus on the availability of the creative arts for every age group. The fans of his creative work range in age, however he thoroughly enjoys visiting schools across the country, talking about this creative work and also bringing attention to the teachers and their amazing influence into the mind's of our future writers, musicians, actors, artists and designers. A foundation is in the works to support these programs in communities around the nation.

Although Stephen maintains a focus on American family style, he has also is quite involved in the design industry as well. He donates his time and design skills to benefit such causes as "Canstruction", a yearly competition benefiting nationwide food shelters. Saint-Onge will be on 2003's celebrity jury along with Stanley Tucci, Edie Falco and John Turturro. He also was a featured designer, along with Ralph Lauren (one of his role models), at 2003's DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting Aids) gala celebration in New York City. The event, sponsored by Elle Decor Magazine, The New York Design Center and The New York Times, brought together major talents in the fashion, design and media industries from around the world to showcase their design talents for this worthy cause.

Known for many years now as "Mr. Home Depot," Stephen truly does strive to motivate and inspire homeowners with products and ideas that can truly create a beautiful home without breaking the bank and can be produced with items they can get their hands on themselves — attainable style. He views the rooms he gets to create on the show, as a wonderful exercise in creativity. As each episode on the show has to be different and individual, themes are created. Though Stephen says he would not normally create a themed room for a client, he has found that it gives homeowners, who may not know where to begin, creative ideas to begin their design journey. As a designer, he enjoys the instant gratification of coming up with a design and having it turned around in 48 hours! Stephen will continue his focus on Before-and-After projects in a new magazine that will launch in 2004 where he will be a monthly featured contributor.
