Cecily and Marc have a deck on the side of their home that is never used because it's in need of a major overhaul. Since Marc is a roofing contractor who spends nearly every day laboring outside, the last thing he wants to do when he has a moment to himself is fix up his own house. Cecily turns to garden designer Peter BonSey, and crafty carpenters Andrew Dan-Jumbo and Leslie Segrete, to transform their space into a western-themed cowboy campfire deck. To get Marc out of the house, his best friend Dills takes him on a surprise Wyoming white-water rafting trip. While You Were Out's camera crew pretends to be filming a video on local activities in Jackson Hole as they capture the men rafting down the river and hanging out at the hotel — but they're really gathering information for the pop-quiz portions of the show, where Cecily can prove how well she really knows Marc. Back on the ranch, Peter and crew are planning a teepee awning over the deck, a specially designed water feature, and a campfire table with chairs to sit underneath it. Two shabby patio chairs are covered in a uniquely designed cowhide, and more of this fabric will be stretched along the railings. Then the team plans to complete the Western motif by turning the two poles that support the roof into giant cacti. Tune in to see if this deck design will be Marc's new Monument Valley, or if it will be too prickly!
