Room: 'Old World' Study

Original Airdate: October 26, 2002

Host:
Teresa Strasser

Designer:
Stephen Saint-Onge

Carpenters:
Leslie Segrete
Andrew Dan-Jumbo

Julie wants to transform the extra room in the house to an 'old world' office for her husband, John. Julie and John have two children and both work full time. Julie says that while she's obsessed with decorating, she's "not very good at interior design." Stephen Saint-Onge to the rescue!

Stephen wants to create a functional room for John, while realizing Julie's 'old world' ideas. He envisages a more rustic space, complete with beams and a leather-look paint effect. 'Faux' is the word of this two day transformation! What is 'real' is the drama surrounding the completion of the beautiful piece of office furniture that carpenter Andrew Dan-Jumbo desperately tries to finish before John returns!
