Lauren wants to treat her girlfriend, Robin, to a new backyard. Robin, a graphic designer and home decorator, is usually the one who decides on the decor for the home, while Lauren does most of the work. While Robin is dispatched to Columbia, South Carolina, to help some friends redesign their gift store, designer Peter BonSey is transforming their backyard into an "Evening After the Safari" campground, complete with a fire roasting pit, terraced deck, and a table set for two with white linens and crystal.
