Knock on Tracie and Vince's front door during baseball season and don't be surprised if you find half of the Vermont Expos baseball team hanging out in their living room. That's because they are an official host family for Vermont's minor league team, and their big rambling ranch house is just big enough for Tracie, her husband, their two sons and any number of baseball players looking for a place to spend the night.
When Tracie's not cheering on the Expos, she loves to decorate. She has a passion for Teddy bears, flowers and sparkly white Christmas lights. Trouble is, she's worried her extravagant taste might be a bit overwhelming for the rest of her family. She knows she needed some help to make over a room in her house where her husband Carlos and two sons would feel at home and still cater to her own tastes. So she called on the While You Were out team, led by designer Stephen Saint Onge. His design concept? A Vermont Lodge.
With built in faux picture windows to satisfy Tracie and dark, masculine paint colors and fabrics to make a man feel at home, their new Vermont lodge living room makes the whole family, and any baseball player that happens by, feel at home.
