Three WYWO firsts in one show! Not only our first foray across the border into Canada, but John Bruce is giving his creative thoughts an airing in the great outdoors and we are joined by the newest member of the WYWO team, carpenter Jason Cameron.

As unseasonably cold fall weather descended on Toronto, the WYWO team unhitched the wagon, pulled on their hats and gloves and prayed it wouldn't snow! The reason they'd made the journey north was well worth the distance and the temperatures — a tale of great friendship and a shabby, boring garden that was crying out for attention. Elisha and Lisa have been best friends for almost 20 years. After Elisha got divorced, Lisa immediately opened up her home to her.

Elisha knows they have the best of unselfish friendships; her one desire is to show Lisa just how grateful she is by doing something special to the deck and garden — a place they spend time year round. Cue the WYWO team.

Elisha wants to give some exotic flair to Lisa's garden since her friend loves traveling to Asia so John Bruce gets to work transforming the back yard into an Indonesian Winter Garden — including a Balinese tea house structure with a pea gravel path, a stepped-rock garden, a fountain-like rain curtain, and even a dog-house makeover. And while all this is going on, Lisa's in London, Ontario having dance classes with a friend.

Can anything possibly go wrong? Well, only something like a phone call in the middle of a quiz. Are Lisa and Elisha telepathic by any chance?
