"My mother's just gonna scream when she sees this!" So said Kimberly — awestruck at the change in her mom's living room. Kimberly has the best reasons for wanting to surprise her mom: Rita is the rock in Kimberly's life, she cares for Kimberly's three young children while her daughter is at work and everyone agrees she's the best grandma in the world. Kimberly desperately wanted to do something lovely for her mom and nothing could have been more timely than a call to the WYWO team to make over the drab living room. If ever a room was a throwback to the 70's this is it. Dark brown and orange are the predominant colors and the furniture is so dated it's almost back in style.
Enter Chayse Dacoda and a design that celebrates the evolution of woman. Trouble is, no one other than Chayse has a clue what that means. While Andrew brings an unremarkable TV unit into the 21st century, Leslie takes a saw to Rita's sofa. Good thing Rita, who's having a great time with her pals in Tunica, Mississippi, can't see the carpet being ripped up, her furniture tortured into submission and her entire front window being removed to get the grand prize into the room.
But will Grandma like Chayse's modern design? Could evolution turn into revolution and will Rita be screaming with delight or horror?
