Just when you thought WYWO had exhausted every trick in the book on homeowners, guess what? They turn the tables on one of their own.

In the normal course of events, the designer — in this case Stephen Saint-Onge — is sent a tape that shows him the room he's going to make-over and an interview with the homeowner about what he or she thinks would give her spouse or partner the best surprise. The designer has a couple of weeks to work on their plans and then gets snuck into the house the day before taping begins (they call it Day 0), to look the room over, check their measurements and then shop for materials.

Not this time! Neither Stephen, Evan, nor carpentry team of Jason Cameron and Leslie Segrete knew one single iota of information before they turned up in front of this house in St Louis — they didn't even know whether a man or woman would open the front door. Stephen would have to come up with a design on the spot and the team would have to do weeks of planning, preparation and prize hunting in just one day.

It has all the hallmarks of a clever plan to create jeopardy that could backfire quicker than a Model T Ford. Will Stephen's normally cool and calm demeanor be ruffled? Has the team bitten off more than it can chew? For an insight into how a design comes together and awesome teamwork under pressure, this is the show for you!
